Exclusive vs Shared Final Expense Leads and Calls

Inbound Final Expense Leads sells exclusive calls, and that is the core difference from shared leads. A shared lead is sent to several agents at once, so they compete for the same senior. An exclusive call goes to one agent only. Every Inbound Final Expense Leads call is exclusive: never shared with or resold to other agents.

What is a shared final expense lead?

A shared final expense lead is one record or inquiry that a vendor sends to more than one agent. The same senior's name and number may reach two, three or more agents at about the same time. Each agent then tries to reach the senior first, often by calling within minutes of getting the lead.

Shared leads are usually sold as records, not as live conversations. You get contact details and then do the work of reaching the person. Some vendors also resell a lead later, after the first round of agents has worked it, which is one way aged leads come about. See inbound calls vs aged final expense leads for that comparison.

Sharing is not hidden in every case. Some vendors state how many agents get each lead, and some do not. That is why it pays to ask directly, as covered below.

What is an exclusive final expense call?

An exclusive final expense call is a call routed to one agent only. Nobody else receives that caller, and the call is not shared with or resold to other agents afterward. With Inbound Final Expense Leads, every call is exclusive in exactly this sense: each caller is routed to one agent only, and calls are never shared or resold.

Our calls are also inbound. A senior calls in about final expense coverage, and the call rings live on your phone in the states and hours you chose. You are not dialing a record that other agents are dialing too. You answer a person who is already on the line, and you are the only agent who gets that call.

Exclusive here means one agent per call. It does not mean you are the only agent in a state or that you get a protected area. Other agents may take calls in the same states; each individual call still goes to one agent only.

Why does exclusivity matter on the phone?

It matters because it changes the first minute of the conversation. With a shared lead, several agents may be racing to reach the same senior. The senior may already have heard a pitch from another agent, may be tired of calls, or may have bought from whoever reached them first. You start the call behind.

With an exclusive call there is no race with other agents. The senior has not already been pitched by another agent on that call, because no other agent received it. You can spend the first minute listening and asking about the coverage they called about, instead of explaining why yet another agent is calling.

Exclusivity also makes your results easier to read. When a call goes to you alone, how it goes depends on the senior and on you, not on who got there first. That makes it easier to track your own numbers over an order; see how to track final expense lead results.

How do I check whether a vendor's calls are exclusive?

Ask three questions and get the answers in writing before you buy. First, ask whether each call or lead goes to one agent only, or to more than one. A plain yes or no is what you want. If the answer is vague, treat it as a warning sign.

Second, ask whether calls or leads are ever resold, including later as aged leads. A lead can start exclusive and be sold again weeks later. Ask the vendor to say clearly whether that ever happens.

Third, ask what happens to calls you miss. If you do not answer, does the call go to another agent, get sent to you again, or get dropped? The answer tells you how the vendor treats exclusivity in practice. Who are exclusive inbound calls for?

They fit licensed final expense agents and agencies who sell by phone and can answer live during the hours they choose. They suit agents who would rather talk with one senior who called in than race other agents to dial the same record. Agencies can route calls to agents who are ready on the phones.

Who are exclusive inbound calls not for?

They are not for agents who cannot pick up live calls during their chosen hours, or anyone not licensed in the states they pick. They are also not a fit if you want a large list of records to dial at your own pace; for that tradeoff, see final expense leads: live calls vs lead lists.

How do I order exclusive calls?

Use the Get My Inbound Leads button to open the order summary, then call (470) 597-3831 to place the order. We confirm your states, hours and the phone number your calls should ring. Calls usually start within 3 to 7 business days. The steps are on how it works.

Frequently asked questions

Are shared leads always bad?

Not always, but several agents compete for the same senior, so you start each contact in a race. Exclusive calls remove that race.

Does exclusive mean I am the only agent in my state?

No. Exclusive means each call goes to one agent only and is never shared or resold. Other agents may take different calls in the same states.

What happens to an exclusive call I miss?

Ask us at (470) 597-3831 how missed calls are handled for your setup, and plan your hours so you can answer live.

Can an agency buy exclusive calls?

Yes. Each call still goes to one agent only, routed to the phone number you give us.

Are exclusive calls billed differently?

No. A call is billable only when it lasts longer than 90 seconds; calls of 90 seconds or less are not billed.

How do I confirm a vendor's calls are exclusive?

Ask in writing whether each call goes to one agent only, whether calls are ever resold, and what happens to calls you miss.
